As the departure date for the Hyas yiem gets closer, all the different strings are beginning to come together. In a project of this size, there are so many individual strands, people that need to be called, transportation issues that need to be identified and sundry other things that must be woven together to make it all work out the way it’s been planned.

I’m going north next week to firm up some of the details of the trip: meeting with the Suquammish Tribal Council about landing there and participating in Earth Day events with the tribe; firming up possible presentations in Langley and Oak Harbor and looking for places I can safely stash the boat between sections of the voyage.
