This was to be the week that the boat would really begin to take shape. All the pieces are there, the preliminary construction looks good and it seems like the basic plan is a good one. Yep, this week was going to be downright productive. And then the weather became a factor.

The boat is being assembled in an unheated garage. With temperatures in the teens and twenties this week (daytime highs stuck in the mid-thirties), the situation is not conducive to any real and meaningful progress. I haven’t heard when the cold snap is going to break, but until it does – or until somebody steps up with a heated space for us to put the boat together – we’re kind of stuck in a holding pattern.

This too shall pass.
