This Sunday Morning

This coming Sunday, August 21st, the next stewardship day at Puget Creek is on the calendar. Yes, you are invited.

South Sound Surfrider will be there, keeping track of the various debris and trash that volunteers collect, and Chris, from Pretty Gritty Tours, is going to be giving us some deep context on the human history of the area. In addition to cleaning up, there may be some water testing, painting or light construction that will be happening too, and quite possibly a few other things that haven’t been thought of just yet.

It will be a great opportunity to hear some history, to get to know a wild, little treasure tucked away here in the neighborhoods of Tacoma and to maybe get your hands a little dirty. It all starts at 9:30am and will go until about noon. It’s a good idea to wear some sturdy shoes and to bring a pair of work gloves along; most other cleanup supplies will be available at the Surfrider booth.

See you there!
