Actually, most schools are still in session, for another week or two, anyway. The Ikkatsu Project’s microplastics workshops are wrapping up for the year, however, and while it wasn’t an especially busy year by pre-pandemic standards, it was good to be back in the classrooms again. Special shout-out to Mr. Wilde’s grade 6 science students at Annie Wright School for all the good feedback and some solid lab work.

Work on the teacher training program is continuing. The hope is that what was learned from teaching this course for 5 years and from the adjustments made in the lesson plans, we’ll put together a course that middle school teachers can integrate into their ongoing programs where it makes the most sense for their students. Looking forward to clock-hour credit classes for educators in 2023.
