(This did not start as an attempt to see how many links I could put in one paragraph but it might seem like that’s how it turned out. Let’s see:)

The Tacoma Shoreline Survey is coming up on April 23rd. That’s less than two weeks until the counting and cleanup begins. If you haven’t done so already, remember to register on the volunteer page, let us know which beach section you’re planning on visiting, check out the short video that explains how to use the app (it’s really easy, truly), and contact us with any questions between now and then. On the day of the event, you’ll find our HQ at Jack Hyde Park in Tacoma, where we’ll be setting up shop with South Sound Surfrider, weighing and sorting the debris you find. We’ll recycle what we can and dispose of the rest, with help from the City of Tacoma and Tacoma Metro Parks. And, if you remember to click and share the results of your survey with us, you’ll be automatically eligible for some great gifts from Klean Kanteen and Exped USA. (Like, really cool stuff.)
