The next Tacoma Shoreline Survey is on the calendar for April 23, 2022. This is an annual one-day push to count all of the trash on Tacoma beaches and get it picked up, recycled or properly disposed of. The Ikkatsu Project and South Sound Surfrider join forces to make a real difference, not only getting cleaner beaches out of the deal but also getting to really connect as a community of committed volunteers. There are often some cool items that are handed out during the course of the day from event sponsors like Klean Kanteen, Valhalla Coffee, Werner Paddles and others… in case you’re in need of any more motivation.

If you’ve done it before, you know how much fun it is and how much we actually can get done in a single day of cleaning the debris from our city’s waterfront.
