Show & Tell

The presentations and story-telling sessions are well underway for 2019. It’s during this colder time of year when I find myself indoors more, talking with groups of all ages about plastic, marine debris, photodegrading, gyres and single-use… stuff like that. The shot above was taken last week in Gig Harbor at the Harbor Wild Watch presentation about the 2018 South Kuiu Cleanup. I’m pretty sure we were pushing the occupancy limits for that one and it was great to see a whole lot of old and new friends in the crowd.

This Saturday, it’s the South Sound Sustainability Expo in Tacoma. It’s free, there’s a ton of things to do for all ages and some great ideas for use in your environment, wherever that may be. It’s one of those things where you can stroll the aisles and take your time, just taking in all the amazing things that people around here are doing to live more intentionally.

And, don’t forget… the Boldly Went live show on March 12 at Tacoma Brewing. The Ikkatsu Project will be the host for this unique gathering and expectations are that it will be an unforgettably cool evening of incredible stories and great people. There will be a raffle, piles of stickers and a chance to hear (and tell) some tales of outdoor adventure. And beer. Mark it on your calendar… see you there!
