The process of getting Marc and me to Alaska begins this morning with a ride to Bellingham. Kayaks on the roof and the back of the car jammed with gear, it already feels like a major undertaking. Next comes two days and nights on the ferry, along with a night in Wrangell, before any actual paddling takes place.
I don’t know if I have all I need. Of course, it doesn’t really matter now anyway. The fuse has been lit and adventure is inevitable.
I will be largely out of touch for this one, definitely once we depart from Wrangell. Although I’ll miss the screen time, I don’t think I’ll really miss the screen time, if I’m being honest. I’ll catch it all up once we are done. The silence, I believe, will be good medicine.
