Road Work

I’m leaving today for the Port Angeles Kayak & Film Festival. The premiere of “Message in a Plastic Bottle” is set for Saturday evening at the Peninsula College theater at 7pm. I’m looking forward to the other films on the docket, mostly whitewater paddling pictures, I think. I hope there are lots of people and I hope they enjoy it all immensely.

Beyond that, I think I’ll have a decent amount of time on Saturday morning to go surfing out at Crescent Beach, so I plan on getting out in the water. It has been too long since I’ve had a quiet morning to visit the waves – maybe this will be it.Screen Shot 2015-04-08 at 5.28.36 AM With the kayaking part of the festival happening down on the beach by the Red Lion, I expect I’ll be spending a fair bit of time on that stretch of sand as well.

If you can make it to the show, it would be great to say hello, I’ll have copies of the book and the film available for a contribution as well as a few other items on the table that you might be interested in. The Ikkatsu Project doesn’t do a whole lot of fundraising… this is it, pretty much. Every dollar that comes in goes straight to programs; we have so little overhead I’m crawling most of the time.

The film is a good one. I am proud of it.
