It takes a few weeks after getting done with a big trip to adjust to the pace of civilized life once again. It takes some getting used to. There is a natural cause-and-effect rhythm on a long paddling trip that doesn’t happen in the day-to-day. So there’s that.

I’m working on a pair of articles about the trip and I’m just beginning the process of going through the footage, seeing what is usable and what isn’t, what I still need to get for the story to really make sense… the time is coming when I’ll be getting a lot more into the weeds of film-making, but there are still some other obstacles that need to be cleared first.

For now, it’s a beautiful evening here in this part of the world.
