Give Until it Helps

For the past week, I’ve been putting up posts on various social media platforms about the work that the Ikkatsu Project has been doing for the past five years, as well as the exciting programs that are coming up in 2018. There’s a lot going on and planning for next summer’s full slate is already in high gear.

It’s #GivingTuesday today, and I am asking for your financial support as the magnitude of next year’s tasks is becoming even more evident. There are plenty of worthy non-profits out there that are looking for contributions today and I completely understand that you can’t support them all. If you are able to give to the Ikkatsu Project, however, I can promise you that your donation will make a real difference. We are small, but every dollar goes directly to the programs that we run; if there is ever any question about what your support is being used for, please feel free to contact me directly. (The email address and phone number listed on the web site are my personal lines and I promise to respond to any and all questions right away.)

IMG_4382For your #Giving Tuesday gift of $50 or more, you’ll receive a copy of Message in a Plastic Bottle, the story of the voyage of the Hyas yiem, a kayak made of plastic bottles that made the 150-mile trip from Olympia to Bellingham. The book is accompanied by the award-winning film of the same name and they tell the story of single-use plastics and their effects on Puget Sound against a backdrop of a unique adventure. The supply is limited, so please send in your gift today.

The Ikkatsu Project is committed to exploration, education and advocacy in the service of the ocean. Thank you for your support.
