Happy New Year!

Remember Y2K? Now that was a New Year’s Eve. There were some folks who thought it was going to be the end of the world and others who were hoping that was true. Kind of a shock for those types to wake up on January 1st and find it was all pretty much the same. That was fourteen years ago.

The coming year is going to be a busy one for the Ikkatsu Project. There will be a new film coming out and a one-of-a-kind “kayak” journey in Puget Sound. We’ll be working with students of all ages on studies related to the health of our marine environment, each generation teaching – and learning from – the others. The oceans are the key to the well-being of the planet. It is a message that we are committed to repeating throughout the year.

The world didn’t end at Y2K. We’re still here, the planet’s still here, and there’s still a lot of work to be done.
